Rush County Grant Opportunities: September 1 Deadline Approaching
Several Rush County grant opportunities are available for organizations, educators and community partners seeking funding for projects that strengthen our community.
The Rush County Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for several 2026 Field of Interest and Education Funds, with applications due September 1, 2026. Letters of Intent for unrestricted Community Grants are also due September 1.
These locally supported funds provide opportunities for projects related to education, agriculture, mental health, music, youth athletics and other community needs.
Rush County Grant Opportunities Available Now
Current Field of Interest and Education grant opportunities include:
- Alex Workman Memorial Fund — supports Rush County children with autism and teachers working with students with autism.
- Dave Kehl Memorial Fund — supports suicide-prevention awareness and mental-health education and resources for Rush County residents.
- Kenneth and Charlotte Brashaber Teacher Enhancement Award — supports eligible Rushville Consolidated High School teachers with educational projects and professional-development opportunities.
- Music for Rush County Fund — supports programs that encourage music participation and enjoyment in Rush County.
- Rita Yager Memorial Ag Grant Fund — supports agriculture-related education, safety and improvement projects.
- Rush County Education Fund — supports education-related projects not provided through the school budget.
- Rush County Youth Athletic Fund — supports the development and training of amateur athletes and coaches from Rush County.
Eligibility varies by fund, so potential applicants should review the specific requirements before applying.
Community Grant Letters of Intent Are Also Due September 1
Organizations interested in the Rush County Community Foundation’s unrestricted Community Grants should also pay attention to the September 1 deadline.
A Letter of Intent must be submitted online before an organization can submit a full Community Grant application. RCCF notes that this Letter of Intent requirement does not apply to the individual Field of Interest and Education funds listed above.

Programs that support education, agriculture, youth development, mental-health resources, arts and community services all contribute to Rush County’s quality of place.
