About Us

Mission Statement:

To advance economic development growth and improve the quality of life through community development in Rush County, Indiana by retaining and pursuing industrial, business, agricultural and educational opportunities.

Organization Overview:

Incorporated in 1999 as 501 (c) 4 organization;
ECDC has one (1) professional staff member - a full-time Executive Director;
New logo and upgraded website.
 

ECDC Strategic Economic Development Goals:

The ECDC bylaws were established in 2005 and updated in 2008  and assist in guiding the board in achieving the following five strategic economic development goals:

  1. Housing - Improve the quality and availability of housing throughout Rush County
  2. Workforce Development - Improve the quality and availability of the workforce in Rush County
  3. Education - Improve the education level and opportunities of the residents of Rush County
  4. Infrastructure - Improve and upgrade the infrastructure network in Rush County
  5. Business/Economic Development - Encourage the expansion and new development of industry and business in Rush County
